The European Defence Agency (EDA) invited the EPRC to participate in the open session of the 44th Meeting of the Project Team on Personnel Recovery (PT PR), which took place in Larnaca (CYP) on 8 November.
The participants were welcomed by the Commander of the Cyprus Air Force, Brigadier General Christou Christos.
The purpose of the open session was not only to present the various PR training opportunities offered by the different organisations/nations in 2023, but also to discuss the way forward for new projects, such as the EDA’s ‘TPRMS Pilot Course’ or the EPRC’s ‘PR Staff CPX’.
In particular, the EPRC presented the main activities it conducted in 2023, as the Joint Personnel Recovery Staff Course, the APROC, the SERE School Leaders’ Working Group, and its contribution to the revision of both APRP-3.3.7.7 “PR TTPs” and APRP-3.3.7.5 “SERE training”.
The PT PR meetings provide highly valuable opportunities to improve the overall European PR capability, by allowing various stakeholders to transparently exchange about their activity and improve global PR awareness and knowledge.
The EDA plans to organise its next PT PRT meeting in April 2024.
